Glassfall explores the emotional landscape of surrender, capturing the complex inner process of letting go. The abstract forms symbolize the tension between vulnerability and resilience, as droplets—simultaneously glass-like and fluid—fall through a surreal landscape. These transparent drops evoke the sharp, fragile nature of glass, embodying the fear and anticipation that often accompany the act of release. In contrast, a stone-like form anchors the composition, appearing solid and unyielding. Yet, through the animated experience, the stone transforms into something unexpectedly soft, bending like a cushion to cradle the impact of the falling drops.
This interplay between rigid and yielding elements mirrors the human experience of releasing control: the initial resistance of our minds and bodies softening into acceptance. By blending traditional oil painting with augmented reality, Glassfall invites viewers to reflect on the delicate balance between the hard, unyielding aspects of life and the moments when, through surrender, even the heaviest burdens can find a gentle landing.
