My digital sculpture can be experienced in Augmented Reality and enables new perspectives on the historical backdrop of Alter Wall.
This year, anyone walking along Alter Wall will come across a sticker with a QR code at Alter Wall 12 (Bucerius Passage). Using this, you can easily open my digital installation Strolling Around with your cell phone or tablet. With the screen facing upwards, the colorful and unusual digital 3D artwork can then be viewed from all sides with Alter Wall in the background. In this way, Augmented Reality combines with listed architecture of the iconic building ensemble, which was named "Building of the Year 2020," and the sculpture art of artist Olafur Eliasson.
The art project was developed in collaboration with the MeetFrida Art Foundation, an initiative founded in the summer of 2020 to promote ultra-contemporary artists. In doing so, the foundation links the online gallery (www.meetfrida.art) with art actions in urban environments such as art posters, augmented reality exhibitions and pop-up galleries. MeetFrida represents over 70 artists, giving them new visibility, opening up new sales channels, and reaching out to people who previously had few connections to art.
AN INTRODUCTION TO THE SECRED GALLERY BY ITS CURATOR LUKAS FEIREISS: “Over a period of six days, we will be showing works by fourteen very different contemporary artists at six different locations in Berlin-Mitte, whose work encompasses painting, illustration, sculpture, and installation. The curatorial link between this selection of works is their formal-aesthetic approach to form, color, and material. They are all characterized by the sensitive interplay of both abstract and color-intensive elements.“ AN ARTIST STATEMENT FROM SOMEPLACE STUDIO, THE EXHIBITION DESIGNERS: “Part exhibition, part event venue the spatial design for Campari SECRED Gallery is inspired by the visual depth and color of campari cocktails. Using industrial welding curtains to delimit spaces and guide visitors, a series of six hybrid locations are created including sculptural elements, large scale graphics, a ghost container and multiple bars. The intervention at each venue is site specific while tying it all together with common visual themes and materials.“ Campari Red Passion has also asked all participating artists put their own passion for art into words. This artist statement can be found for every artist, by clicking on their artist profile below.

As part of the campaign [UN:MUTE ART] I customized a portable speakers from SOUNDBOKS, which were designed especially for the opening of the new store of HiFi Klubben in Berlin.
The SOUNDBOKS ART PIECES were the centerpiece of the showcase.
The artwork I created - together with the customized Speaker by Josephine Rais - were part of a charity auction and could be purchased via the HiFi Klubben website.
100% of the proceeds went the TLNT & TLNT initiative, which aims to offer young people with an immigrant background equal opportunities on the job market as well as new perspectives, and to this end acts as a link between young creative minds and the tech and creative industries.
